It’s been hot in Houston & Austin this summer. But that hasn’t stopped what we’re calling ‘The Summer of Sweatpants.’ In our delivery laundry orders, we’ve seen way more sweatpants and hoodies. While a relaxed summer work wardrobe is usually centered around jeans, we’ve found most of you are staying cozy and staying inside this summer.
Tie-dye has already emerged as one of the summer’s biggest fashion trends. And, that is probably because DIY tie-dying has become a fun way to unwind while stuck at home. Plus, it’s an easy way to upcycle pieces you already have in your closet.
We’re all about getting creative with your wardrobe and upcycling your old garments – but take our warning: home tie-dying can bleed onto other clothes in your laundry if you’re not careful. Be sure to properly set the dyes in your cold water, vinegar, and salt bath before tossing it in your laundry pile.
Cleanliness has been top of mind in quarantine. And, that is a good thing. Keeping your linens and towels on a consistent schedule keeps the cycle of preventative maintenance. Consistency prevents you from ever falling too far behind.
We’ve noticed an increase in our bi-weekly recurring orders for customers opting to only send their sheets & towels. We get it! You’re home a bit more than usual now. And, maybe that means you use laundry to pass the time. But for linens, towels, & comforters that don’t fit in residential washing machines, bi-weekly recurring service is the most popular quarantine frequency.
Since March, we’ve been on a contact-free pickup and delivery schedule. We appreciate your help. Having your bags ready and waiting for our drivers is a great way to keep everyone safe and distant. With that said, it’s hard not to notice that you’re home for your deliveries. We appreciate all of the waves through the window, kind notes at the door, and tips left for our team.
Traffic has been light too. And our drivers are ok with that.
