What are the different size laundry bags?
We have four different size laundry bags.
1) Standard Wash & Fold Laundry Bag
2) X-Large Wash & Fold Laundry Bag
3) XXL Commercial Laundry Bag (Business & Airbnb Accounts Only)
4) Dry Cleaning & Launder Press Garment Bag
Our flat-rate wash & fold pricing makes laundry predictable and affordable. We’ve eliminated the hassle and sticker shock of per pound pricing. Stuff your bags full; it doesn’t change the price!
Order upgrades like softener ($.50), bleach ($1), custom hanging preferences ($3), and hang-dry ($5) are available by request when scheduling your order.
How do the laundry bags work?
We use different bags to differentiate service, treatment, and pricing. This means it is up to you to control the treatment and pricing of your order.
For wash & fold laundry, we offer two-sizes of bags: Standard Bag and X-Large Bag. These bags hold your everyday laundry including clothing, towels, sheets, and other common household items that you would run through a personal washer and dryer. As part of our wash & fold service, we hang and steam all collared shirts, dresses, and blouses. If you have other custom packaging requests (ie. hang all t-shirts, hang all pants, etc.), you can detail these in your order notes or in your account preferences.
Standard Wash & Fold Bag: The Standard Bag for wash & fold laundry holds roughly 3+ loads or 20-30 pounds of laundry. This bag measures 22″x28″ and comes with a customer name tag identifying it’s size, treatment, and price.
X-Large Wash & Fold Bag: The X-Large Bag for wash & fold laundry holds roughly 5+ loads or 30-40 pounds of laundry. This bag measures 24″x36″ and comes with a customer name tag identifying it’s size, treatment, and price.
XXL Commercial Laundry Bag: The XXL Bag (not pictured here) is only available for commercial and business account laundry & linens. We offer business account options for per pound pricing depending on monthly average total volumes. To apply for business pricing and XXL Bag access, contact us.
Dry Cleaning Garment Bag: This bag doubles as a dirty laundry bag when turned upside-down and a garment carry bag when flipped right-side up. Items in this bag are charged per garment – just like your traditional cleaners.
Note – Please note that any items that you wish to be dry cleaned or pressed should be included in the dry cleaning bag and will be priced individually. While we do our best to catch dry cleaning items that are placed in the wash and fold bags, we can’t always catch everything. The Folde is not responsible for dry cleaning items sent in wash and fold bags.
I don’t have laundry bags yet, what do I do?
The Folde laundry and dry cleaning bags will be brought to you with your first scheduled pickup. If you’ll be present for pickup, you can stuff them full before handing over to the driver. If you won’t be present for pickup, you can leave the clothes in any other laundry bags or hampers; we will return these with your order and your The Folde laundry bags for filling at your convenience next time. If you need more bags or replacement bags, just ask!
Tips for leaving laundry bags out for pickup & delivery.
We get the following questions often:
- What if I don’t want to leave my clothes out?
- Should I be nervous of someone stealing my laundry?
- How to I keep my clothes safe if I live in an apartment?
- Can you deliver to my back door instead of my front door?
So, we talked with our delivery drivers and logistics team to come up with some tips on how to responsibly leave your laundry out for delivery laundry service. You can read those tips here.
